Latin Storytime is designed as a gentle introduction to the Latin language for both the child and the parent.

Latin Storytime is designed as a gentle introduction to the Latin language for both the child and the parent.

The parent and child can watch the videos together to learn the vocabulary and the companion parent's guides provide some basic grammar explanations to help the parent if they desire to grow in their Latin knowledge.

Activity and practice ideas come with explanations designed for the parent with no Latin background.

Latin Storytime was created by Emily Weis. Emily holds a B.A. in Classics from Truman State University, graduated Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors and Honors Scholar distinction, was a recipient of the CAMWS (Classical Association of the Midwest and South) Award for Outstanding Accomplishment in Classical Studies, 2010-2011 , and taught Latin at the junior high and high school levels for 6 years.

For families that want to continue more formal Latin studies after using Latin Storytime, I recommend looking at I Speak Latin by Andrew Campbell or the Picta Dicta Latin Primer series from Roman Roads Media.
